Building partition wall on tile floor with concrete under. How to power nail soleplate without cracking tile?

Should I pre-drill tile through sole plate at 16″ stud intervals? Someone mentioned to me about glueing soleplate… is that crazy, or not?

I have had great luck with not cracking tile when I have to fasten over it. I use a new 1/4″ masonry bit every 3-5 holes you drill. Keeps the tip sharp and tile wont crack. Oh yeah, If you use a hammer drill go semi slow not full blast. then use a lag bolt after to fasten sole plate.
